Gentlemen,
As we commemorate the 64th anniversary of the Japanese surrender, the effective end of hostilities in WW2, let us pause and reflect. Take a moment to reflect upon the sacrifices that were made to bring about victory and peace. Do not limit your thoughts to those men, women, and families of the United States but to those of all the Allied nations. Remember a time when the liberty loving people of the world stood side by side, shoulder to shoulder, and said NO to tyranny! The men, women and families of that time sacrificed so much for all of us. They sacrificed their youth, their sweat and toil, and bore the burdens of separation. Many made the ultimate sacrifice. We can not repay them for what they did for the world. They have never asked us to. Take a moment and remember these people, possibly say a prayer, and when you meet some one of that generation tell them thanks.
Sincerely, David Paterline | |
