AAR: Anzio Express, Union IL, sponsored by the 10th Mountain Division

This is the type of event you dream about, relaxing. There were more things to do than you had time to in any single day, as you really needed at least two, but it was at your pace and your choice.

There were battles, skirmishes and vignettes in various places around the 200 Acre Museum or you could just look at the large collection of engines and rolling stock, preserved buildings and all of the paraphernalia of railroading, the Museum alone was worth the trip. Or you could just set up your display and sit back and talk to the folks who stopped by.

As for this writer, I had three "firsts" this weekend. first time ever on a working electric bus, first time ever on a working electric street car, first time on a working train, not bad.

Doc and the 10th Mountain boys did a great job and put on a First Class Event and I just want to say Thank You. There hospitality and hard work is much appreciated.
