After Action Report

First special Service Force 6-3

Wendal Holmes Training Center, Greenville, KY

This was the first time at this facility, which was very modern with new barracks buildings, mess hall, canteen and thousands of acres of ground. There were 16 Allied and Axis vehicles with 90 GI's and 130 Germans.

We arrived around 5am, registered, had Breakfast at the Mess hall and then we drove around the campus and starting at the Simms Center, we loaded into the transport to are jumping off place. There was very little walking this day as we moved by vehicle each time we had to change are AO. One of the things which I thought was unusual, the National Guard was on the Ranges that weekend, my experience at Military installations during our reenactments, is that we are alone.

There were three scenarios, we were over run at the Cross Roads, we held the line at Camp Charlie, and we were over run at the MOUT site. Having the German Armor was decisive at the MOUT Site. For the most part all participants took there hits and most played well.

This is an Event which I will look forward too next year.
